
Special Education Teacher / Behavior Program Lead
Location: Oakville, WA
Schedule: Full-Time | 2026–2027 School Year
Pay: $60–$70/hour (based on experience and assignment details)
ISO Workforce Alliance is partnering with a school district in the Oakville area to identify a dedicated Special Education Teacher with strong behavior experience to support a district behavior program for the 2026–2027 school year. This role is ideal for a professional who is passionate about creating inclusive environments and supporting students with significant behavioral and learning needs.
Position Overview
The Special Education Teacher / Behavior Program Lead will support students with behavioral challenges through evidence-based interventions, individualized instruction, and collaboration with school teams and families. This role includes both classroom and program-level support to ensure student success and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and support behavior programs using evidence-based strategies and positive behavior supports
Develop and manage IEPs, progress monitoring, and data-driven instructional planning
Conduct student assessments and adjust supports based on progress and behavioral needs
Collaborate with general education staff, specialists, and support teams
Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and interventions
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with IDEA and state regulations
Support a structured, safe, and positive learning environment during behavioral challenges
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Special Education (Master’s preferred)
Valid Washington State Special Education certification
Strong knowledge of IEP development, behavior management, and special education law
Experience working with students with moderate to intensive behavioral needs preferred
Ability to remain calm, regulated, and professional during high-stress situations
Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
