Pay: $20–$30 per hour (based on experience)
ISO Workforce Alliance is seeking a dedicated Paraprofessional – Special Education to support students with diverse learning, behavioral, and physical needs in school-based settings. This role supports special education classrooms by providing instructional, behavioral, and personal care assistance to help students access their education safely and successfully.
The Paraprofessional works under the direction of a credentialed teacher and school leadership to support students individually or in small groups. This role assists with instruction, behavior support, mobility, and personal care based on student needs outlined in IEPs and school programs.
Support individual students or small groups with academic instruction and classroom activities
Reinforce teacher lesson plans and classroom routines
Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans and IEP goals
Monitor and document student behavior and progress
Support student mobility, transitions, and physical access throughout the school day
Assist with personal care needs (toileting, hygiene, feeding, dressing) when required
Maintain a safe, structured, and positive learning environment
Communicate observations and concerns to the supervising teacher or team
Assist during recess, lunch, field trips, and other school activities
High School Diploma or equivalent required
College coursework, Para exam, or related training preferred
Experience working with children, especially in special education, is a plus
Ability to follow plans, maintain confidentiality, and work as part of a team
Ability to lift, reposition, or physically assist students safely when needed
Willingness to complete required training (CPR, CPI, Mandated Reporter, etc.)
Work with a supportive staffing and school partnership team
