
Special Education Administrator / Program Specialist
Location: Hayward CA
Schedule: Full-Time | School-Year
Pay: $100–$115 per hour (based on experience and credentialing)
ISO Workforce Alliance is seeking an experienced Special Education Administrator / Program Specialist to support district-level special education services. This role is ideal for a credentialed professional with a strong background in compliance, program oversight, and supporting students with complex needs across special education settings.
The Special Education Administrator will provide leadership and oversight for special education programs, ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success. This role requires advanced knowledge of special education law, due process procedures, and best practices for serving students with disabilities.
Provide administrative oversight and support for special education programs and services
Ensure compliance with IDEA and all applicable state and federal special education regulations
Support IEP development, implementation, and monitoring across school sites
Assist school teams in addressing complex student needs and major handicapping conditions
Support due process procedures, compliance reviews, and dispute resolution
Collaborate with administrators, school psychologists, related service providers, and families
Provide consultation and guidance to special education staff and instructional teams
Maintain clear, professional written and verbal communication with all stakeholders
Valid Administrative Credential, plus one of the following:
Clinical Services Credential
Health Services Credential
School Psychologist Credential
Advanced training in special education, with specialized knowledge in one or more major handicapping conditions
Strong working knowledge of state and federal special education laws and regulations
Demonstrated excellence in oral and written communication
Proven experience with special education compliance and due process procedures
Prior experience as a:
School Psychologist
Special Education Teacher
Designated Instructional Services (DIS) Provider
Master’s degree and/or Doctorate
District-level or administrative leadership experience
