A school program in the Belmont–Redwood Shores area is seeking a Speech/Language Specialist (SLP) to provide assessment, therapy, and consultation services for students with speech and language needs. Working under Special Education leadership, the SLP conducts evaluations, develops IEP goals, provides direct treatment, and collaborates with school teams and families.
Conduct comprehensive speech/language assessments and determine eligibility
Manage the full referral and evaluation process
Chair IEP meetings and write speech/language goals and service recommendations
Provide direct therapy using evidence-based instructional methods
Monitor student progress and complete annual and triennial reviews
Maintain accurate documentation and meet all compliance requirements
Collaborate with teachers, specialists, administrators, and families
Consult with school staff regarding strategies and student needs
Participate in SSTs, SELPA meetings, special education meetings, and professional development
Valid California SLP Credential or Speech-Language Pathology Services Credential
Strong assessment, diagnostic, and intervention skills
Effective communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams
Ability to manage caseloads and maintain compliance
