Speech Language Pathologist

Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) – School-Based

Location: Greater Statesville / Iredell County, NC
Pay: $55–$65/hr
Schedule: Full-Time | School-Based

ISO Workforce Alliance is seeking a dedicated Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to support K–12 students within the Iredell–Statesville region. This role focuses on helping students reach their strongest communication potential through high-quality therapy, collaboration, and student-centered support.


About the Role

The SLP will work as part of the Exceptional Children’s team, supporting students with communication needs related to articulation, expressive/receptive language, fluency, and voice. This position collaborates closely with teachers, families, and administrative staff to ensure consistent and meaningful progress for students. Medicaid documentation is required for eligible students.


Key Responsibilities

Screening, Assessment & Diagnosis

  • Conduct screenings and evaluations for students with suspected communication needs

  • Analyze results and make appropriate recommendations

  • Develop diagnostic insights to support IEP decision-making

  • May supervise SLPAs or CFs if needed

IEP Development

  • Create and update IEPs in collaboration with teachers, families, and school teams

  • Write goals based on student needs and curriculum alignment

  • Monitor timelines for evaluations and triennials

Therapy & Service Delivery

  • Provide direct therapy using evidence-based practices

  • Utilize appropriate diagnostic tools, therapy materials, and communication supports

  • Manage scheduling, documentation, and case organization

  • Maintain Medicaid billing notes and district-approved documentation

Collaboration & Consultation

  • Work closely with educators, administrators, and support staff

  • Provide recommendations for instructional strategies and classroom supports

  • Communicate progress with caregivers and school teams

  • Seek guidance and consult with district specialists when needed


Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology

  • North Carolina DPI G License (or eligibility)

  • CCC-SLP preferred, CFs considered with appropriate supervision

  • Valid driver’s license or reliable transportation

  • School-based experience preferred but not required
