Special Education Teacher – Mild/Moderate Location: Palm Springs, California 92262
Schedule: Full-Time
Contract Type: Contractor (W-2)
Hourly Pay: $60–$70 per hour

ISO Workforce Alliance is seeking a Special Education Teacher (Mild/Moderate) to support one of our partner schools in Palm Springs, CA. This role provides specialized instruction and case management for students with mild to moderate disabilities in a Special Day Class setting.

Primary Responsibilities
• Provide instruction and services based on student IEPs
• Serve as case manager and maintain compliance documentation
• Communicate progress with families and school teams
• Collaborate with general education staff to support inclusion
• Develop and monitor behavior plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and student support teams
• Supervise and guide paraprofessional staff
• Track student data to guide instruction and measure progress

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree or higher
• CA Education Specialist Mild/Moderate Credential
• CLAD Certification and Autism Authorization
• Valid CA driver’s license
• Student teaching or 2+ years SPED experience

Skills & Competencies
• Strong understanding of instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Ability to communicate effectively with families and staff
• Strong organization, documentation, and time‑management skills
• Ability to build rapport in a multicultural school community

Physical Requirements
• Lift up to 35 lbs; walk/stand frequently; occasional outdoor duties
• Ability to communicate and understand speech at normal levels
