
Special Education Teacher
ISO Workforce – Northern California (Yuba–Sutter Area)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, school hours
ISO Workforce is seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to support school programs in the Northern California / Yuba–Sutter region. In this role, you will provide specialized instruction and behavioral, academic, and social-emotional support to students with a wide range of learning needs.
This position is ideal for educators who are passionate about inclusive practices, individualized supports, and creating meaningful learning experiences for diverse learners.
• Provide specialized academic instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt and modify curriculum to support student learning needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families
• Manage classroom routines, behavior supports, and learning environments
• Conduct assessments, track progress, and maintain compliance documentation
• Support students in both general education and special education settings
Required:
• Valid California Education Specialist Credential (Mild/Moderate, Moderate/Severe, or Extensive Support Needs)
OR
• Enrollment in an Education Specialist program with eligibility for an intern credential
Preferred:
• Experience supporting students with disabilities in K–12 settings
• Strong instructional design and differentiation skills
• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and behavior supports
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Pass background check and fingerprint clearance
• Maintain accurate records and meet compliance timelines
• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Monday–Friday schedule aligned to school calendar
